Luminate Goodness LLC is a candle company based in Apalachin NY. Founded on the idea that candles should be produced ethically and with clean scents so when you light up, you truly are lighting up goodness! All candles are composed with sustainable grown soybeans produced in the US. Soy wax is biodegradable unlike paraffin wax which is derived from petroleum and produces petro-carbon soot. Burning candles, which contain these toxins and carcinogens can be harmful to our health. This is why soy candles are an excellent alternative! You can rest assured your soy candle is giving you a clean burn.
Luminate Goodness uses scents that are free of phthalates so you are able to enjoy all the "goodness" that comes with it! Luminate Goodness scented candles are safe when used for their intended purposes and do not contain carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins as well as acute toxins. All candlewicks contain natural flat cotton threads interwoven with paper threads while they also are free from lead and zinc.
The Face Behind it All
My name is Molly and I am the founder of Luminate Goodness, LLC! I begin my quest to eliminate as much harmful toxins as I could from my daily routines in 2015. Through research and observations, I was able to learn how damaging some ingredients can be that are found in common every day items. When looking for products that were advertise as “all natural” I did my own research as I would buy.
I started to get frustrated when I would find items that were false advertising so I decided to make my own products that I could feel confident about. It begin with items such as deodorants, serums, lip balms and lotions. Soon I learned how many carcinogens were found in candles and this was upsetting to me because I love candles! So it was then I learned about the other alternative candles opposed to paraffin candles and begin my journey.
I thought soy was the best alternative but it was important for me to find sustainable grown soy. The soy industry has wrecked havoc on communities in Brazil and Argentina, two of the world’s largest soy suppliers besides the United States. The effects of soy have lead to deforestation, endagerment of animals and the displacement of small farmers in those countries. The soy in my candles is produced right here in the US and grown sustainably.
